Bobbie Jean Carter, sister of singers Nick and Aaron Carter, has died at the age of 41.

TMZ reports that Carter passed away in Florida on Saturday (December 23rd). Her cause of death was not immediately known at the time of publication.

Bobbie Jean worked as a wardrobe stylist and makeup artist for her brothers in the early 2000s. She also appeared on the family’s E! reality TV show, House of Carters.

Bobbie Jean’s brother Aaron died of an accidental drowning on November 5th, 2022. Her older sister, Leslie, passed away in 2012 from an accidental drug overdose.

Bobbie Jean is survived by her brother Nick (of Backstreet Boys) and sister Angel, as well as by her daughter, Bella.

“I am in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean; and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time,” Bobbie Jean’s mother, Jane Carter, said in a statement. “When I am able to think clearly, I’ll release a fuller statement; but until then I would request to be left to grieve in private.”

“[H]owever deeply a parent feels the loss of a child, the suffering of a young child at the loss of a parent must be much greater,” Jane added. “So, I would ask the sympathetic to say a prayer for my precious eight year old granddaughter Bella, who previously lost her father and is now also left without her mother.”
