The Dillinger Escape Plan have announced a weekend of reunion concerts with original vocalist Dimitri Minakakis.

The iconic metalcore act will perform its seminal 1999 debut album Calculating Infinity in its entirety on June 21st, 22nd, and 23rd at the Brooklyn Paramount in Brooklyn, New York. Initially, only one show on the 21st was announced, but due to high demand, a second and third night were added. Support acts for Friday the 21st include feature Candy and Car Bomb; the second night (Saturday, June 22nd) features openers Deadguy and The Callous Daoboys; and all four acts will provide support on Sunday (June 23rd).

A Live Nation ticket pre-sale is ongoing using the code CREW. General ticket sales start Friday (December 15th) at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster. Fans can also look for deals or get tickets via StubHub, where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.

Dillinger Escape Plan was formed in 1997 by guitarist Ben Weinman, who enlisted Minakakis on vocals. The New Jersey outfit released Calculating Infinity in 1999 prior to Minakakis’ exit in 2001. Singer Greg Puciato would then take over as frontman, and Dillinger Escape Plan would cement themselves as one of the all-time great metalcore bands prior to breaking up in 2017 after a string of farewell gigs in New York City.

“It’s been a long time coming for this opportunity to perform in a project I helped create over 25 years ago,” said Minakakis via a press release. “Having the chance to celebrate 25 years of Calculating Infinity with my closest friends in life is just a dream turned real. I’m looking forward to seeing all the old faces, as well as all the new ones. The Dillinger Escape Plan has always been more than just a band. We were a force of nature. This reunion show is our way of thanking the fans who have stood by us and the album we made in a small basement in NJ all those years ago.”

Added Weinman: “Dimitri has remained one of my longest and closest friends. Even after leaving the band, his support and contributions through his work on our first albums have kept an everlasting spark in my heart for what we did together. I remember the first day we met. He was the new guy in school and I drove by him and gave him the finger. Then I reversed the car and asked him if he wanted to hang out and make a band. I said, ‘You look like a singer, dude.’ We could have never imagined what an impact that moment would have.”

Minakakis  and Weinman will be joined by longtime Dillinger members Liam Wilson (bass) and Billy Rymer (drums) for the reunion gig.

Weinman, who has since become a member of Suicidal Tendencies, continued, “While we are all very happy with the resolve of the band in 2017 with Greg, something still feels unsaid as far as the Dimitri era of the band.”
