Olivia Rodrigo‘s latest NPR Tiny Desk Concert is out now — featuring stripped back versions of hits off of her Grammy-nominated sophomore album GUTS, one of the best albums of 2023.

The set was Rodrigo’s second Tiny Desk Concert, but it was her first visit to the hallowed NPR office — as Rodrigo notes that her first Tiny Desk Concert took place “knee-deep into the pandemic.” (Naturally, Rodrigo performed the 2021 Tiny Desk [Home] Concert in an abandoned DMV, in homage to her breakout SOUR ballad “drivers license.”) “I’ve never been starstruck by a room before,” Rodrigo quipped.

Rodrigo opened the performance with an energized acoustic version of her uptempo anthem “love is embarrassing,” before being joined by backup vocalists for her ballads “vampire” and “lacy.” Rodrigo ended the set solo, taking to the piano for a powerful rendition of “making the bed” — which she teed up as an encapsulation of many of the central themes on GUTS.

You can watch the heartstring-plucking performance below.

Rodrigo will be taking her talents back on the road for the 75-date GUTS World Tour kicking off in February 2024. You can buy tickets to the US dates via StubHub, and tickets to Europe and UK dates are available now on Viagogo. The singer also promoted a few songs from GUTS — as well as a tiny ass bag — on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live.
